I Do Not Know

I don't know what tomorrow brings, Whether it will be brimming with rains or washed with the sun's rays, Whether I will find the dropped puzzle pieces, Whether the spokes of my bike will hold and keep me coasting, Whether or not you will continue loving us. I don't know what today is, Whether it is a bucket of the memories I recall and hopes I bear, Whether it is the fragments of history and lore I fear, Whether the night will follow the day. I don't know what yesterday was, Whether our big win, frankly, was the improbable outcome. Whether our big loss, comfortingly, was too the improbable outcome. But we're still here, aren't we? Clawing at the world and pitching our *force vitale, *hoping something will stick. Hoping. Because hope makes our world spin.
